Finally moved out of our old house at Whiteman AFB and with our new house in Nebraska bought and full of our stuff we had only to wait for Robert to finish his final days at Whiteman. To break up our time in temporary lodging we took a short drive south to Arkansas to spend the 4th of July holiday with our friends Buster and Vita McCall and their daughters Jacque and Aleksie. It was a great visit. We enjoyed quite the outing to a wildlife park which included a drive thru portion and a walk through portion. They had all kinds of animals there. The girls enjoyed feeding the pigs and goats although it should be noted that the animals didn't seem that hungry given the number of people trying to feed them. There was also a kangaroo and a giraffe to pet which was definitely a first. We had a nice time at the McCall's house relaxing, playing cards (Canasta!), and grilling for the 4th. The neighborhood fireworks were quite good so we didn't have to go far to celebrate. Looking at the pictures it is quite apparent that Dominic needs a haircut! After the visit we were back in temporary lodging at Whiteman for a few more days before packing up and heading north to Nebraska!
