Our first December in Nebraska was fun-filled.  After having our family Christmas picture taken we went to Build-a-Bear so Faelynn could pick out her own special bear.  She (and her dad) had a great time picking out the bear and the essential accessories.  We also visited with Santa at the mall.  The girls were happy to put in their orders with the North Pole.  Continuing with the celebration of Christmas, we had the traditional reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas", a Christmas movie, and then off to bed on Christmas Eve.  On Christmas morning Robert and Davina were delighted that Corinne, Faelynn, and Dominic slept in until past 9AM.  Ahhhh .... But once awake it was all about getting those stockings and presents opened.  It was a nice morning and everyone was happy with what Santa brought them.

After Christmas, Robert's parents arrived from Ohio.  It was great to see them and continue the celebration of Christmas.  For New Years' Eve we went to the Durham Museum which was the main Omaha train station many years ago.  There are still several train cars at the museum as well as other exhibits of things from times past in Omaha.  The main event was the Noon Years Eve balloon drop and bubble stomp.  As we counted down to noon the kids were excited to see confetti and balloons come down from the ceiling.  There were a lot of people there too, just like Times Square I'm sure.

In other December news Rob broke out the snow blower for its inaugural run.  (There was only a couple of inches of snow, but that is quite beside the point.)  It worked well and waits for its next outing.  There are a couple of pictures of the basement play zone with Corinne working on school at one end and Dominic playing at the other end.  The girls also continued to enjoy gymnastics and Corinne had fun at Girl Scouts.
