October was another action-packed month.  We had a field trip to a dairy farm where we met cows and tasted fresh butter from their milk.  We also saw the chickens and ducks.  It was a bit windy, but fun.  The girls continued to take swim lessons.  Dominic was just itching to follow them into the water.  The three amigos also had their first dental appointment in Nebraska.  The dentist was ready to go when they arrived and they enjoyed the goody bags at the end.  Robert and Davina celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary with an intimate dinner for five at the Cheesecake Factory.  The additional guests were quite delightful dining companions.  Corinne also started in Daisy Girl Scouts and has enjoyed activities with her troop.

A highlight of the month was the first visit to Nebraska by Davina's parents.  They made their way across the cornfields and arrived in one piece.  We had fun playing baseball, reading books, playing games and puzzles, and hanging out.  While they were here we carved pumpkins and had Halloween good times.  Corinne dressed up as Queen Guinevere, Faelynn was Raspberry Tart, and Dominic was a cute clown.  We went to Faelynn's pre-school party and enjoyed a few songs and games.  For Halloween night Davina and her dad took the girls trick-or-treating while Robert stayed back to hand out candy with Dominic.  Davina's mom stayed at the house too to enjoy the festivities.  The girls enjoyed collecting candy and seeing the other kids.  Dominic liked giving the candy out.  Next year he will surely want to go door-to-door.  And finally, we should probably mention the prominent scratch on Dominic's nose seen throughout the photos.  He was squatting down on the pavement and tipped over every so slowly onto his little nose.  You can see the results!  Until next month ...
