April 22 was National Take Your Son or Daughter to Work Day. Work was slow that day so Daddy decided to take Corinne to work with him. The night before he ran to the mall and bought Corinne a little Air Force uniform for her to wear. Mommy's statement when she saw the uniform was "Are you serious?". Dolly wore a little desert BDU cap. It was a great day. The highlight was when Daddy and Corinne went to the advertised location for the C-130 display but the location had changed and the maintenance Airmen there did not know that. So Corinne had a whole C-130 to herself to climb around on for about 20 minutes until they discovered they were supposed to be at another location. At which time they went to the correct aircraft location with all of the other kids.
Also, during the day Corinne got to send an e-mail to Mommy at home and sit in on an early morning meeting. Additionally, she was able to tour a Fire House and climb around on a Fire Engine. Then she received a tour of the medical clinic and ended the day with lunch with Daddy.
It was a long day for Corinne...so she was ready for a nap after lunch, which Mommy gladly picked her up and took her home for. Oh-yeah she did not waste any time changing back into a pretty dress for the rest of the day.
