Over Labor Day weekend we took a quick trip to Brugge, Belgium – “the Venice of the North”. We spent one day by ourselves and met up with Davina’s college friend Ray and his fiancé Celine on the second day. Brugge was beautiful with the canals and the big market square and the winding roads and alley ways. In addition to walking around we enjoyed a horse and buggy tour of the town. With Ray and Celine we also toured an old brewery. There used to be many in the town. Of course who can forget the Belgian chocolates – simply divine and calorie free no doubt. Before leaving Brugge to head home Robert, Corinne, and Davina took care of some lace shopping and a boat tour of town through the canals. It was a wonderful weekend and time well spent with old friends.
